Craig Stern, of Dana Point, California, is the founder/owner of ENTRE-MANURE Environmental Products & Services. Here's a little information about Craig and how he started his business.

In July of 2001 Stern read a newspaper article about a man from the Midwest who started a dog waste removal service and had built his business into being very successful. He thought it was a great idea and started looking into the possibilities of starting a business like his in Orange County.

Craig felt it would be prudent to learn everything he could about dog waste before he started his business. He quips, "What I learned shocked me! "I had no idea of the health risks and the pollution ramifications of dog waste to the ocean and waterways. "I felt the need to get the word out." On August 3, 2001 Stern filed the appropriate paperwork to start his business ENTRE-MANURE Dog Waste Removal Service and set up shop. Over three years later Stern has grown his company to include servicing residential homes, common grounds for both homeowner associations and apartment complexes and is into his third year under contract with the City of Laguna Beach. "We service their Dog Park and 'Top of the World' walking trails. "Since then, over 5,100 pounds of dog waste has been collected! "That’s 5,100 pounds that will never make it to the ocean. "This does not count all the backyards we've serviced in the last three plus years", he proudly exclaims.

Over time Stern has learned the value of adding environmentally friendly products to his company’s portfolio. At the beginning of 2003 he became a representative for DOGIPOT who manufacture the urban runoff friendly DOGIPOT Pet Waste Stations, DOGIPOT Container, DOGIPOT Junior Dispenser, and 10 Gallon Steel Waste Receptacle including doggy pick up bags.

In the quest to continue to grow the company in an urban runoff direction Stern started searching for the best stormwater filtration systems available in the marketplace.
